Tabitha Bagwell was my great- great-grandmother. I am fairly certain that according to family tradition she was a Cherokee woman, probably from the group who came to Arkansas in 1819. Here she is pregnant, sitting under a full moon in the forest, contemplating the stars. She sits by a young deer, because her name, as mentioned in Acts 9:36, means “deer” in Biblical Greek.
