These four panels in the green of ordinary time use symbols of nature and trees, reflecting our context of tree-covered mountains. Through the branches we see a spiral sun, a starburst, a rainbow, and a rainbow crow, drawn from Lenape tradition.
The silk for this project was a gift from Claudia Grice, whose father, Carl N. Payne, brought it from Shanghai in 1945.
