In this Christmas installation a purple altar cloth continues the colors of Advent that shape the central star and extend to the pulpit and lectern paraments. The star that may have indeed filled the skies in those days has become a symbol of the incarnation of Christ. The energy gathered in this event leads us toward its realization in the Easter fulfillment symbolized in the work “Bright Morning Star.” In our own time, as we gain a vastly greater understanding of the cosmos, the star continues to be powerful of God’s creative power.
