These two painted silk panels were requested for use during Advent and Lent, using both blue and purple. The left panel shows a four-petal flower, reminiscent of a dogwood blossom, toward the top of the panel. The right panel shows a rose of resurrection toward the bottom of the panel.
The original idea was they would appear in this format for Advent, and then be upended for lent so the dogwood would be at the bottom and the rose at the top. I also had planned two sets of sheer overlays with seasonal symbols, so the present pattern would show through, but new elements be added. This last step has not happened, as yet. 27″ x 135″ 2014
